Common questions

Things we hear all the time — answered straight.

For most standard systems, we recommend pumping every 2 to 5 years. Aerobic systems — which have more active components — may require more frequent service. Factors like household size, tank capacity, and daily usage all play a role. When in doubt, give us a call and we'll help you figure out the right schedule for your specific system.
Yes — and this is one of the most common questions we get. Your septic tank is designed to be full. It works as a filter, separating liquids and solids so that only properly treated effluent exits into the drain field. A full tank is a working tank. Problems occur when pumping is neglected for too long and solids build up to the point where they start leaving the tank — that's when real damage to the drain field happens. Regular pumping is what prevents that.
Absolutely — it's a big part of what we do. We're familiar with camp systems throughout the Adirondacks and understand the unique considerations that come with seasonal use, remote access, and older installations. If you're getting a camp ready for the season or closing it up in the fall, we can help.
